The Fair Work Commission (FWC) is currently conducting its annual wage review. This will affect the base rate of pay for employees covered under the Timber Industry Award (the previous survey was for the General Retail Industry Award). MGA intends to make a submission to the FWC and is seeking your assistance to help us to keep wages at a reasonable level.
We request that you take a few moments of your valuable time and complete the survey here to help with information that will assist us in making our submission to the FWC. Your responses will be treated confidentially and not kept on file.
If you operate under an enterprise agreement and there is an increase to the basic full/part time hourly wage rate under the Timber Industry Award in July 2019, you may need to adjust your basic full/part time hourly rate under your agreement to ensure it is no less than the corresponding award hourly rate.
As this is a matter of importance to all timber retailers, we request that you complete the survey by Friday 22 February 2019. This survey is specific to the Timber Industry Award. We appreciate your time is valuable and thank you if you have completed the previous GRA survey.
