RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE:
- Competition – effects test changes to Section 46 for fairer competition – Now Law
- Fuel Shopper Dockets – maintained at 4c per litre. Enforceable undertaking by the ACCC
- Carbon Tax Repealed – Saving $70m ($36m refrigerated gas and $34m energy)
- Unfair Contract Terms – MGA advocated for the tightening of unfair contract terms.
- Company Tax Reduction – 30% to 27.5% for sales less than $50m

- Working with ACCC on rising electricity Pricing Inquiry.
- Participating in energy distribution channels – landlord to tenant - Queensland

- Ban plastic bags – SA, ACT, Queensland and Tasmania
COMPLIANCE AND LICENCING
- Red tape and cost burdens – Victorian and NSW - also currently working with Prime Minister’s office.
- National Weights and Measures – participating in workshops re Unit Pricing Reforms
- National Harmonisation of OH&S – Victoria and WA still to participate
